Bleeding Heart

Seventeen-year-old Brianna has always felt strongly about a number of causes, including veganism, and wanted to make a difference in the world, but never thought she'd have to do it by becoming a vampire.
Vampires have long been split into three kingdoms. The Shield Kingdom feels it is their duty to protect humans, the Sword Kingdom feels it is their duty to rule over humans, and the Crescent Kingdom doesn't care. They have always existed beneath the surface of human society, in equilibrium. But recently, the Sword Kingdom's ruler has usurped the Shield Kingdom as well, and so the Shield Kingdom needs fresh blood to help force him out.
So, of all people, they recruit Brianna... a short, skinny little teenaged girl, fighting clinical depression, who believes in pacifism and giving peace a chance. And now, she's forced to drink human blood, when she won't even drink milk.
It's not long before the team of rebels manages to remove the Sword Kingdom ruler from his post, and replace him with Brianna. However, they fail at killing him, and he's still out there, building an army and waiting to make his move. Soon, even vampire slayers are getting involved, and a three way war is imminent. On top of that, the Shield Kingdom's cold and cynical army general Claudia has taken a special interest in Brianna, and it doesn't help that Brianna is lesbian and Claudia is really, really hot. But of course Claudia is the type who believes only violence solves problems. And with everything closing in, Brianna is going to have to take a stand.
