Captivated

    Princess Lottie of the magical kingdom of Eratigena always fancied herself a rebel, but when she is kidnapped by the mysterious queen of the nearby desert nation of Duellica, she is forced to face an internal battle against positive feelings for her captor, and her own feelings of attraction for another woman. 
 

    When Lottie comes of age at eighteen, her father holds a ball for her, so that she can meet and choose between potential suitors that he has already approved of. When none of the suitors appeal to her at all, she looks for advice from Queen Kiraz of Duellica, a twenty-six-year-old single queen who no one has forced to marry anyone yet. A physically powerful and stoic woman, Queen Kiraz is regarded as peculiar by many, and Lottie wishes to get to know her. But when she is kidnapped by the mysterious woman herself, she is immediately filled with regret. 
 

    As Queen Kiraz's prisoner, Lottie sees what a misunderstood person she really is, as she learns of her past and her hopes for the future. She finds herself growing closer to her, leaving herself wondering if she is losing her mind, or if there really is something to the empathy she feels. Now she can't decide if she'd rather kiss her or stab her, and may just have to do both.
